Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF)

This is a small grant from the Department of Human Services that provides funds for:

  • School clothing and school supplies – vouchers are dispersed in August prior to the starting of most schools
  • Eye exams and eyeglasses
  • Special Activities – a letter explaining what funds are needed for must accompany request.

These services are for those Tribal (child/children) members living within the Tribe’s service area, and enrolled in public schools. Funds are dispersed on a first come, first served basis and funds are limited. All requests must be pre-approved by the PSSF Director.

Eligible Tribal (child/Children) members are required to fill out an application, with the following information needed:

  • Proof of Tribal membership, e.g., Tribal membership card
  • Copy of Birth Certificate for each child
  • Proof of Residency
